July 6, 1946 - December 25, 2021
Sandra (Sandy) L. Davis, 75, of Belvidere, ended her journey in this life on Saturday, December 25, 2021 and reunited with her husband and many others who were no doubt delighted to see her again. Most importantly, she is now with her Savior, the King of All Kings, whom she joined on the day we celebrate His birth.
She was born July 6, 1946, in Belvidere to Walter “Dewey” Lyle and Joyce (Foster) Lyle.
In addition to the job most important to her - being a mom and grandma - she worked at the DeKalb Ag, DeKalb Christian School, and Ideal Industries (from which she retired).
The most important event in her life was when she met her Savior, Jesus, and was born again.
From that day until her death Jesus was the center of her life. She never stopped being a beacon of light for Him to her family, her friends, and to everyone she met.
She loved being a part of prayer meetings and over the years she volunteered to serve in a variety of ministries among which were Tres Dias, Courtside Ministries, and Royal Family Kids Camp.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jon Davis, her parents; three sisters, Kitty Lyle, Roxy Beach, and Judy Lyle; her niece, Desirae Rich; and two nephews, Shane Gila and Joe Beach.
Survivors include two sons, Jon (Julianna) Davis Jr. and Paul (Lisa) Davis; one daughter, Danielle Davis; two grandchildren, Bridger Davis and Mila Davis; three “bonus” daughters, Penny (Rolf) Hansen, Candy (Richard) Anderson, and Joni Clark; six “bonus” grandchildren, Nicole (Nick) Baker, Brittany (Joel) Bryant, Shane Clark, Jesse Clark, Jan Hansen, and Kristian Hansen; two sisters, Debi Olson and Linda Hayward (Kyle Monk); several nieces and nephews; and eleven “bonus” great grandchildren with one on the way.
A celebration of her life will be held at The Grove Fellowship, 4210 Countryside Estates, Poplar Grove, IL, 61065, at 2:30 pm on Sunday, January 16, 2022. A potluck meal will follow. The burial of her ashes will be private.
